Q.

The UP3300 is locked in Mode screen or PGM Mode
(The Clerk becomes locked in the program mode and the user can
not get back to the trading screen.)
A. (INDIVIDUAL CLERK WITH OVERLAP set up)
When a UP3300 is set as IRC on an Individual Clerk system and a
Clerk is in Overlap condition, the Clerk will be allowed into
program mode but not allowed out again.
Remove the key or press the code again to sign off.
You can now go back to the main trading screen.
Make sure all clerks are finalized then operation will be as normal.
A. (CENTRALIZED CLERK WITH OVERLAP set up)
The Clerk is allowed entry to Program Mode and then into
Settings, but the Clerk can not return back to the main trading
screen. Pressing the Cancel Key does not allow a complete return
and will result in an Entry Error message.
The problem arises on a Centralized Clerk System when a Clerk is
open on another Slave.
Go to the slave machine and make sure all Clerks are signed off
or Finalized then the operation will be as normal.
Q.  How does the auto generate next highest GLU code work on
the UP3300?
A. The Auto Generate code works on both the standard GLU files
and DRIVE THRU files.
However if you want the UP3300 to generate the next highest
code after finalizing a GLU you would have to use the DRIVER
THRU files.
You will also require a file for Auto Generate codes. (This is
created as standard).
You then have to allocate the NC2 key, this will come up with CAR
# as default text but you can change this, also if you want to
layaway a DRIVE THRU code you will have to allocate the PBAL 2
key so you can recall it.
