1) Warm up the Marconi Radio Tester, for at least 30 minutes to allow internal crystal
    oscillation to become stable.
2) Refer to figures below for handset wire connections.
3) Disconnect the handset antenna from the PCB. If you allow the antenna to remain and be a load, the readings will be wrong.
4) Supply DC 3.9V Handset PCB using a DC power supply.
5) Press TALK, then press "5", "8" and "0" simultaneously.
6) Press INTERCOM.
7) Press "#" key. (set SS-RESTART Mode)
8) Press "TALK" (initials channel CH1)
Carrier Frequency Check:
Set Marconi (      indicates the button of Marconi)
Tx Test  : Select Tx Test Mode
Tx Freq.  : Input Carrier Freq.=904.560MHz (CH1)
1. 1) Press "8" key once to set "High" Power Mode.
    2) Press "0" key once to set "SS" Mode OFF.
2. Check TX Frequency = 904.560 MHz ± 3kHz (offset
 ±3kHz).
3. When value if over, adjust VC490.
Transmit Power Check:
Set Marconi (      indicates the button of Marconi)
Tx Test  : In Select Tx Test Mode
Tx Freq.  : Input Carrier Freq.=904.560MHz (CH1)
TX Power  : Select TX Power
Broad/Narrow  : Select "Broad Band" Mode
1. 1) Press "8" key once to set "High" Power Mode.
    2) Press "0" key once to set "SS" Mode ON.
2. Check TX Power reading. It should equal +12 dBm ± 4 dB (+8 dBm ~ +16 dBm).
Receiving Sensitivity Check:
1. Connect audio cable BNC side to AF INPUT in Marconi and other side to TP-SP+ and TP-GND.
2. Set Marconi (      indicates the button of Marconi.) Enter the following setting:
Rx Test  : Select Rx Test Mode
RF Gen  ON/OFF  : RF Output on
FREQ.  : Input 656.160MHz = (Handset Rx Frequency) - (1750MHz) = 2406.160MHz - 1750MHz
LEVEL  : Input RF Level = [(-30dBm) + (Jig Loss CN1
 CN2
 CN3
 CN4)]
Mod Gen , ON/OFF  : FM on
FREQ.  : Input AF Freq. = 1.0kHz
Level  : Input FM Level = 24kHz
AF Filter , 0.3 to 3.4k  : Select AF Filter
3. Press the SINAD button on Marconi until the display shows SINAD value.
    Press the dB button.
4. Press the "RF Gen", and "Level" button of Marconi.
5. Using the VARIABLE knob on Marconi decrease RF GEN LEVEL value until SINAD value is 12 dB.
6. Check the Amplitude. This should be less than [-100dBm + (Jig Loss CN1
 CN2
 CN3
 CN4).]
Squelch Check:
1. Connect scope probe (X1) lead to TP-SQL, negative to GND and BNC end to scope.
2. Set scope to the following condition: TIME/DIV = 1 msec, VOLT/DIV = 1 V
3. Set RF GEN LEVEL to [-95 dBm + (Jig Loss CN1
 CN2
 CN3
CN4).] Check scope voltage is LOW.
4. Set RF GEN LEVEL to [-120 dBm + (Jig Loss CN1
 CN2
 CN3
CN4).] Check scope voltage is HIGH.
5. When scope does not show above condition at item 5 of Receiving Sensitivity Check, adjust VR501 until scope voltage toggles
    between LOW & HIGH.
