The STACK-M card consists of following 3 blocks.
1) FPGA block
2) Commnunication Controller block
3) STACK Interface block

The main functions of the FPGA(IC500) are as follows

1. The Timing switch function of PCM Highway bitween NS1000 main card and two Legacy gateway.
2. The host interface function for CPU on Main card.
3. Glue logic circuit that generate control signal for host interface of CircLink IC.
4. Register display of status display signal from each Legacy gateway.(S0_BSOP[1:0], S1_BSOP[1:0])
5. Generation of reset signal according to each Legacy gateway.(S0_MRESET,S1_MRESET)
6. Selection of line synchronizing signal input from each Legacy gateways(S0_NETREF,S1_NETREF) and drive of line synchro-

nizing signal line to NS1000 main card(L_NETREF).

7. Termination of the triggers such as CircLink interruption (CL0_nINT, CL1_nINT) and cable insert detection interruption

(S0_nPRS, S1_nPRS), and generation of the STACK-M interruption signal (nIRQ) for the Main card.

8. LED Control function of LED on Stack-M card

The CircLink(IC301A,IC301B) is a communication controller to realize control message communication between STACK-M and
STACK-S
The CircLink chips on STACK-S card and STACK-M card are connected one-on-one basis.
STACK-M card has two CircLink ICs to connect 2 expantion ports.

The twisted pair cable with 50 pairs is used to connect between STACK-M card and STACK-S card.
Two ports of 50 pin connector for cable connection and some LVDS interface ICs as a driver/reciever of board to board signal on
the STACK-M card.

A reset to devices(IC500, IC301A and IC301B) in this card is dominant in a reset from the main card, and normally it is only avail-
able for software command reset or hardware reset using RESET IC(IC804).
