Main Unit
In this chapter, we'll describe more detail internal block diagram.
As already described in  [4.1 Block Diagram], PBX unit is mainly responsible for system PBX function.
And all the monitoring and control function to achieve these functions are operated by Main Unit CPU (SoC).
Several functions such as Wireless LAN I/F, and DSP functions are embedded in internal CPU.
And other functions are achieved by CPU and each devices with CPU control bus (SPI-BUS), and TDM-BUS.

Devic/Unit Name
Description
GRX330 SoC
This is the main processor of this system, and it has MIPS 34Kc core, operating with 720MHz internal 
clock. All software code is executed by this CPU on Linux operating system. In addition to CPU function, 
Wireless LAN interface and Voice Codec DSP function and L2SW packet handling function are embed-
ded in it.
WRX312
This is the Wireless LAN (IEEE802.11b/g/n) baseband device. By using this device with Wireless LAN 
MAC function in SoC, this system can provide IEEE802.3b/g/n network access.
NAND Flash Memory
System software and several configuration data are stored in NAND Flash ROM on Main unit.
DDR2 Memory
DDR2 memory is used for program operation and working memory space.
CPLD on Main Unit
This device is used for TDM-BUS Master device, and it has time switching function in it.
By using this device this system can provide PBX interconnection.
And in addiont to TSW function, it has several functions such as SPI-BUS repeater, Chip Select signal 
generation and so on.
CPLD on Option Card
This CPLD is the interface device between option card and Main Unit, it provides SPI-BUS repeater, 
option card Chip Select signal generation. 
RTC
This device is responsible for system clock backup.
DE56
This device is responsible for analog trunk interface function. And it is controlled by CPU via SPI-BUS.
DuSLIC
This device is responsible for standard phone line interface function. And it is also controlled by CPU via 
SPI-BUS.
DEVSEL/UNITSEL signal
These signals are used for expanding SPI-BUS chip select area. Generally, SPI-BUS has only one chip 
select signal, but this system has many SPI-BUS slave devices, so to distinguish the slave device, CPU 
uses these signals adjunctively. UNITSEL indicates target unit, and DEVSEL indicates device.
SPI-BUS
SPI-BUS is the standard serial peripheral interface between each devices.
TDM-BUS
TDM-BUS is used for the PCM data communication between each devices. Voice communication 
between each devices are provided via this TDM-BUS.
Control Signals
 (Reset / Interrupt)
System control function such as reset and interrupt are provided by these signals.
