Programming the Remote
32
ENGLISH
To program the AVR45RDS remote, follow
these steps:
1. Press and hold the
Device Control
Selector
b
for the product type you
wish to program (e.g., TV, VCR, etc.) and
the
Set
button
i
at the same time
until the
Programming Status LED
turns orange and the red LED under
the
Device Control Selector
lights.
Both should remain lit.
2. Within 20 seconds, press the button on
the AVR45RDs remote that you wish to
assign a learned command. It is always
a good idea to start with the
Power
button
c
, though you may teach the
buttons in any order that you wish. Note
that the orange
Programming
Status LED
will begin to flash
continuously, and the LED under the
Device Control Selector
b
will
go out.
3. Point the LED transmitter from the
source remote control towards the front
of the AVR45RDS remote. Press and hold
the button on the source remote to be
learned until the
Programming
Status LED
lights green. Release
the button on the source remote control,
the status LED will return to a constant
orange color.
4. Verify that the command has been
learned correctly by pressing and
holding the same button on the source
remote control once again. Release the
button on the source remote when the
Programming Status LED
flashes green twice, and then returns to
a constant orange color. This indicates
that the IR code was programmed from
the source remote to the AVR45RDS
remote successfully. When the status
LED flashes red in step 3 or 4, then the
IR code was not programmed. Try steps
2 through 4 again but hold the source
remote button pressed for some seconds
after the status LED turned green in step
3. If the status LED keeps flashing red in
step 3 or 4, this code cannot be
programmed.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for each button
command that you wish to transfer from
the source remote to the AVR45RDS
remote for this specific source device.
6. When all desired commands have been
taught from the source remote to the
AVR45RDS remote, press and hold the
Device Control Selector
b
and
the
Set
button
i
at the same time
until the
Programming Status LED
flashes twice, and then goes out, and
the red LED under the
Device Control
Selector
turns off. This indicates that
the codes have been saved to the
AVR45RDS remote’s memory.
7. Follow steps 1 through 6 to program the
AVR45 RDS remote for the codes from a
different source remote.
Erasing Learned Commands
The AVR45RDS remote allows you to edit
the command functions by erasing a
single command within one device, to
erase all commands for a single device, or
to erase all commands that have been
programmed into the memory of the
remote for all devices. Note, that all
preprogrammed commands will never be
erased.
Erasing A Single Learned Command
To erase a single command from those
memorized for a specific device follow
these steps:
1. Press the
Device Control Selector
b
for the desired device (e.g., TV, VCR,
etc.) and the
Set
button
i
at the
same time until the LED under the
Device Control Selector
turns red
and the
Programming Status LED
turns and remains orange.
2. Press the button on the AVR45RDS
remote for which you wish to have the
code erased. The red LED under the
Device Control Selector
b
will
go out and the
Programming Status
LED
will flash orange.
3. Press the
Light
button
p
. The
Programming Status LED
will
flash green twice, and then turn to a
steady orange color. The red LED under
the
Device Control Selector
b
will turn back on.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any other
buttons where you wish to erase the code
that has been programmed.
5. When you are finished erasing any codes
that need to be erased, press and hold
the
Device Control Selector
b
and the
Set
button
i
at the same
time. The red LED under the
Device
Control Selector
will turn off and the
Programming Status LED
will
flash twice and then turn off.
