 Subject: Dead unit, No display 
 
 
In the event you receive an AVR10 or HK3250 Audio/Video receiver with the complaint “unit is 
dead, no display or output”, follow the test and repair procedure as outlined below: 
 
1)  Connect power cord to an AC outlet, and press the power button on front panel. If indicator lights on 
the front panel do not turn on, unplug the unit. 
2)  Remove top cover.  Check AC main fuse F701; if blown, replace and test unit: 
AVR10 
F701  2.5A   slow blow  (h/k part# 5508302535) 
HK3250  F701  3.15A  slow blow  (h/k part# 5508302735) 
3)  If F701 is not blown,  replace IC101, the LC7821 FUNCTION SELECTOR IC,  
(h/k part# 5654-LC7821).  IC101 (30 pin DIP) is located in the right rear corner of the MAIN PCB 
when viewed from the top.    To replace IC101, remove bottom cover (14 screws including 4 in the 
bottom edge of the front panel). 
4)  Replace both covers and test unit.
