4-3. LCD Contrast Check and Adjustment
1.
Tap the <LCD CONTRAST> icon on the menu.
2.
Check if all steps (5-step contrast) displayed at the center of the screen can be identified.
3.
If the identification is difficult, adjust the contrast by tapping the
+ key or _ key in the upper area of
the screen.
When the white area cannot be identified:
Tap the
_ key.
When the black area cannot be identified:
Tap the
+ key.
4.
After checking that all five steps can be identified, tap a
\ in the center of the adjustment bar.

When you hear a beep sound, the adjustment is completed.

Connection diagram
1.
Tap the <VMM OUT ADJUST> icon on the menu.
2.
Color-bar appears on the monitor.
3.
Place the probe of the oscilloscope at both ends of the mount terminal of J901 (RCA pin jack) on the
MD-43 board. Then, adjust the video output level (SYNC to 100% white) by tapping the
+ key or _
key of the icon on the LCD so that the specifications are satisfied.
Specifications: 100% white, 1 V p-p
4.
After adjustment, tap a
\ in the center of the adjustment bar.
5.
When you hear a beep sound, the adjustment is completed.
