1. SERVICE  NOTE

1-1.  METHOD FOR COPYING OR ERASING THE DATA IN INTERNAL MEMORY
The data can be copied/erased by the operations on the Setup screen. (When erasing the data, execute formatting the internal memory.) 
Note1:  When replacing main unit, erase the data in internal memory of main unit before replacement.
Note2:  When replacing main unit, execute formatting and initialize the internal memory after replacement.
Method for Formatting the Internal Memory
Method for Copying the Data in Internal Memory
Copies all images in the internal memory to the memory card.

Insert the memory card.

Select [Copy] with the multi-selector tilt to v/V/b/B, then tilt to B.
The message “All data on internal memory will be copied” appears.

Select [OK] with v, then press the multi-selector.
Copying starts.
To cancel the copying
Select [Cancel] in step 3, then press the multi-selector.
• Charge the battery sufficiently. Copying image files when the remaining battery amount is low can cause
data transfer failure or damage the data due to battery exhaustion.
• You cannot copy individual images.
• The original images in the internal memory are retained even after copying. To delete the contents of the
internal memory, remove the memory card after copying, then execute the [Format] command in [Internal
Memory Tool].
• When you copy the data in the internal memory to the memory card, a new folder is created. You cannot
choose a specific folder on the memory card as the destination for the data to be copied.

This item appears only when the memory card is not inserted in the camera.
Formats data stored in the internal memory.
• Note that formatting irrevocably erases all data in the internal memory, including even protected images.

The format is completed.

Select [Cancel] in step 2, then press the multi-selector.
