1. SYSTEM CONTROL CIRCUIT
1-1. Outline
The DCR-TRV900 consists of its system with the four microprocessors (HI: Hu-
man Interface Controller, PCMCIA Digital Still Controller, Camera Controller
and Mechanism Controller).  The data transfer system and its block diagram are
shown in Fig. 1-1.
Relation between the above described controllers is that the HI controller (Human
Interface Controller that is abbreviated as HI controller hereafter) functions as the
master microprocessor while the other microprocessors work as the slave micro-
processors.  The HI controller establishes communication with other controllers
(IC302, IC2401 and IC751) using the clock synchronous serial communication.
When the HI controller detects any key input, it sends the corresponding mode
command to the camera controller and mechanism controller in accordance with
the contents of key input.  The desired functions are realized by the camera and
VTR in accordance with the commands.
At the same time, status of camera and VTR is always sent to the HI controller
through the respective controller so that the HI controller monitors and controls
the operating mode of the DCR-TRV900 all the time.
The control data of the HI controller and that of the mechanism controller have
already been stored in the EEPROM (IC2404).
The control data of the camera controller is saved in the EEPROM (IC301) and
that of the PCMCIA digital still controller is saved in the EEPROM (IC760).
