• PLAY LIST: plays the titles created 

from “ORIGINAL” for editing.

• ORIGINAL: plays the titles originally 

recorded.

Press DISPLAY repeatedly until the Control 
Menu is turned off.

This setting is canceled when you switch the player to 
MS mode.

With PBC (Playback Control) functions, you 
can enjoy simple interactive operations, 
search functions, and other operations.
PBC playback allows you to play VIDEO 
CDs interactively by following the menu on 
the TV screen.

The menu for your selection appears.

Refer to the instructions supplied with 
the disc, as the operating procedure may 
differ according to the VIDEO CD.

Step 3 may appear as “Press SELECT” in the 
instructions supplied with the disc. In this case, press

You can set the following play modes:
• Program Play (page 44)
• Shuffle Play (page 46)
• Repeat Play (page 46)
• A-B Repeat Play (page 47)

The play mode is canceled when: 

– you eject the disc.

– the player enters standby mode by pressing

– you press MS.

You can play the contents of the discs in the 
order you want by arranging the order of the 
titles, chapters, or tracks to create your own 
program. You can program up to 99 titles, 
chapters, and tracks.

Press DISPLAY twice (once for CD).
The Control Menu is displayed.

X/x to select 

(PROGRAM), then press ENTER.
The options for “PROGRAM” appear.

X/x to select “SETt,” then 

press ENTER.
The display for programming appears.

Follow Steps 1 through 3 of “Creating 
your own program (Program Play).”

In Step 4, select the program number of 
the title, chapter, or track you want to 
change or cancel using 

X/x, and press c.

Follow Step 5 for new programming. To 
cancel a program, select “--” under “T,” 
then press ENTER.

X and select “ALL CLEAR.”

You can do Repeat Play or Shuffle Play of the 

programmed titles, chapters, or tracks by pressing 
REPEAT or SHUFFLE during Program Play. Or 
activate “REPEAT” or “SHUFFLE” on the Control 
Menu during Program Play.

You can select “PROGRAM” directly by pressing 

PROGRAM.
