(b) Time machine shooting
While the shutter is pressed lightly, the time machine mode will be set where image are input to the unit every 0.5
seconds. The number of images stored differ according to the mode. (This is not possible for the fine mode. Refer to table
4.
)
When the shutter is pressed down, images stored into the unit until then (STD:2, SNAP:3) and the images shot after the
shutter is pressed will be stored. Specifically the image shown on the LCD display when the shutter is pressed, may not be
recorded.
Table. 4 No. of Images Shot by Time Machine Shooting
In the circuit, images are input every 0.5 seconds, JPEG compressed, and stored in the DRAM (IC604). Oldest images
are overwritten by new ones in order.
When the shutter is pressed, images stored until then and the images shot after that are all stored in the DRAM, and
continuously recorded in the image memory (IC771).
(Note) When the shutter is pressed down quickly (within one second)
This will disable images before the shutter was pressed to be input, and therefore there will be 1 or 2 less shootings
depending on the mode.
(Reference) The following cannot be performed during time machine shooting.
Flash shooting, self timer shooting, fine picture quality mode selection, automatic exposure set by pressing the shutter
lightly.
(c)
Multi screen shooting
After the shutter is pressed, 9 images continuously taken at intervals of 1/15 seconds will be shot as one. Although 9
small images is shot as one multi screen, the data amount of the screen is the same as the normal screen.
In the circuit, small screens for the multi screen are constructed in M1 (IC001), and the nine images are added to form
one screen. The image data is then JPEG compressed, and recorded in the image memory.
(Reference) The following cannot be performed during multi screen playback.
Flash shooting, automatic exposure set by pressing the shutter lightly.
