Fig.2-1 shows the playback circuit. 
This unit, NW-HD3 can play back MP3 files. The conditions of the MP3 file that the unit can play back are as follows. 


Bit-rate: 32 to 320[kbps] (Corresponding to both CBR and VBR)

MULTI INTERFACE IC7001 
MULTI INTERFACE IC7001 reads out the encrypted music data from HDD drive with the data bus lines and stores it into SD-RAM IC7002 corresponding to the command 
sent from MAIN SYSTEM CONTROLLER IC1003. 

 
 
MULTI INTERFACE IC7001 
MULTI INTERFACE IC7001 reads out the encrypted music data from SD-RAM IC7002 and outputs it from pin-151 [DATA], in synchronization with the bit clock 
(BCK, 64fs) from pin-150[BCK] and the LRCK signal (fs) from pin-149 [LRCK], to SUB SYSTEM CONTROLLER IC3001. 

SUB SYSTEM CONTROLLER IC3001 
In SUB SYSTEM CONTROLLER IC3001, MAGICGATE circuit decrypts the input encrypted data and extracts music data. Next, the music data is input to 
ATARC3/ATRAC3plus/MP3 Decoder and is decoded. Then DA data is created. Next, the DA data is input to Sound Processor circuit and is controlled to the user setting 
sound.  Then  the  DA  data  is  output  from  pin-15  [P10/PCMO]  to  MAIN  SYSTEM  CONTROLLER  IC1003  in  synchronization  with  the  bit  clock  (BCK,  64fs)  from 
pin-13[P13/BCKO] and the LRCK signal (fs) from pin-14 [P14/LRCKO]. 

MAIN SYSTEM CONTROLLER IC1003 
In MAIN SYSTEM CONTROLLER IC1003, the input DA data is converted from Digital Data to Analog Signals in the D/A converter circuit after being controlled the volume 
level. 

MAIN SYSTEM CONTROLLER IC1003 
System Controller IC1003 outputs analog signals; L-ch from pin-134 [AOUTL] and R-ch from pin-133 [AOUTR].
