When any of the following conditions to enter the sleep mode is satisfied, the main system controller IC6005 puts the machine into the sleep mode. 
 
“Conditions for entering the sleep mode” 

 About 30 seconds have passed in the STOP state when the machine is operating on battery (This condition depends on the user setting.) 
 When OPTION button of the unit is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds 
 When Power Down is selected on the menu 
 When STOP button of the remote controller is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds 
 When the unit detects “Low BATT”. 

 
When any of the above conditions is satisfied, the main system controller IC6005 stores the following data into the Flash Memory IC7002: 

 RESUME data 
 Audio setup data (VOLUME setup data, SOUND setup data) 
etc. 

 
When  the  main  system  controller  IC6005  is  ready  to  enter  the  sleep  mode,  it  outputs  the  sleep  command  to  PLD  IC8001.  Then,  PLD  IC8001  outputs  “H”  signal  from 
pin-23[POWER_SLEEP]. By this “H” signal, Power Control IC9001 sets the operation to the sleep mode. When IC9001 enters the sleep mode, the WAKE(INT) signal goes 
“L”. 
 
 

 

During the sleep mode, only the following ICs are active. (Main System Controller IC6005 and PLD IC8001 are not active in the sleep mode.) 
  POWER CONTROL IC9001 
  Real Time Clock IC4101
