(Note)  How to check when the unit shuts down

•

If abnormal audio output is detected at the SYSTEM CONTROL, “Protector” indication 
appears on the FLUORESCENT INDICATOR TUBE and the main unit stops operation.

•

If there is any abnormal temperature increase in the DIGITAL POWER AMPs, check the 
connection between HEATSINK and DIGITAL POWER AMP and also check how the

connection between HEATSINK and DIGITAL POWER AMP, and also check how the 
DC FAN is spinning.

•

If abnormal DC level is detected, measure resistance value between the + terminal and –
terminal of each speaker outputs, while the power cord is disconnected from the main 
unit.

•

In normal condition most of those measured values should be similar. However, if one of 
those values is significantly different form the other results, the DIGITAL POWER AMP 
which connects to the terminal may be damaged The DIODE connected to the

which connects to the terminal may be damaged. The DIODE connected to the 
concerned signal line, when the DIGITAL POWER AMP was damaged, may also
damaged as well. If it does not recover from the system even though the DIGITAL 
POWER AMP is replaced, check the concerned DIODE.

(Note) Caution for checking the SPEAKER output

•

The speaker output activates speakers by using the difference voltage between terminals 
and it is not connected to GND. For this reason the DIGITAL POWER AMP may become 
damaged if the speaker terminal shorts out with the GND terminal. Be careful not to 
connect the speaker terminal to the GND while operation checking
