DRUM MOTOR TROUBLESHOOTING
The drum motor fails to run.
Is the voltage more than about 2.6V
applied at pin (7) of connector AD ?
Check the STAND-BY5V line.
Is 5V at pin (1) of connector AD ?
NO
Check the PC12V line.
Is 12V at pin (4) of connector AD ?
Check the connection between
connectors AD and ME or
check/replace the drum motor.
Check between the connector AD
and pin (77) of IC2001, and between
the connector AD and pin (78) of
IC2001.

The drum motor runs only for a few seconds.
Is drum PG signal at pin (3) of AD
connector ?
Check between the connector AD and
all the way up to pin (90) of IC2001.
Is drum PG signal at pin (90) of
IC2001 ?

Check/replace IC2001.
Is H. SW. pulse at pin (18) of
IC2001 ?
Check the connection between
connector AD and ME or
check/replace the drum motor.
Check the drum motor.
