2-3. SETTING A DIGITAL CAMERA
The following digital cameras are recommended for this program.    (Performance proven)
SHARP VN-EZ5/VN-EZ5EW (Internet ViewCam)
SHARP VL-MX1/VL-ME100S/VL-ME100E (Digital Video Camera)
Other cameras than mentioned above may also be used.    Refer to “2-14. DIGITAL CAMERA
SPECIFICATIONS”.
Before shooting pictures, make the following camera settings.

Keep the other camera settings at default.
* The image size is limited to 640 x 480 only.
When taking pictures, do not use the zoom function.    (VN-EZ5/VN-EZ5W)
2-4. PREPARING THE PROJECTOR
Switch on the LCD projector and warm it up enough.
Set the projection screen size to 40 inches or so (30 inches or so if the image is dark).
This size is flexibly adjustable, but 40 inches are the best in terms of the brightness and color irregularity
detection.
The screen itself should be white in color and low in gain factor.
Project images in a place as dark as possible.  An incoming external light may fail to recognize dark-
pattern images.
2-5. MAKING CONNECTIONS
Connect the RS232C cross cable between the computer and the projector.

* If a 10 m long cable is used, communication errors may occur, which may fail to send corrections.
Employ a shortest possible cable.
