Is it possible to print from iOS using
AirPrint™ with User Authentication?
Due to an iOS limitation, only username & password is
supported. Apply the following settings to ensure correct
operation:-
Network settings > External Print Services Settings >
AirPrint Settings > IPP-SSL Enabled;
User Control > Default Settings > Enable IPP
Authentication Except for Printer Driver
If you wish to prevent non authorised printing, check the
following option:-
User Control > Default Settings > Disabling of Printing by
Invalid User
AirPrint™ settings are not displayed
within System Settings – Network
Settings menu
To support AirPrint™, upgrade the MFP firmware to June
RC release - 04.00.Z1.00 (or higher)
Unable to use AirPrint™ Fax &
AirPrint™ Scan features from iOS
Currently, iOS does not support Fax and Scan feature
(limitation of AirPrint™) however, these new features are
available when using Mac OSX.
When connecting from OSX10.10 (or
earlier) to MX-3050N-6070N series
using AirPrint™, “An error occurred
while trying to add the selected
printer message” occurs.
To support OSX 10.10 and AirPrint™ v1.5, update the
MFP Firmware to 05.11.Z1.00 (or higher).
Alternatively, upgrade OSX to 10.11 (or higher).
Within Job Status display, is it possible
to view Estimate Job Start Time?
To enable this function, change
SIM55-03 SW35-1 from 0 (default) to 1.
Is it possible to Tandem
MX-3060N – MX-6070N series with
another MX colour device?
Tandem operation is only supported on
MX-3060/3070/3560/3570/4060/4070/5070/6070N (Copy
Mode) & MX-3050N – MX6070N series (Print Mode).
Is it possible to retain the Destination
Address (Image Send Mode), once the
current Scan operation is complete?
To enable this function, change
SIM55-03 SW30-3 from 0 (default) to 1.
Once enabled, go to System Settings-Image Send
Settings-Common Settings menu and enable the “Hold
Address for a while after scanning is completed” option
for the relevant Image Send mode.
Default Settings is not found under
System Settings as with previous
models?
Default Settings has been renamed Init. Install Settings
and is located under the System Settings tab
(Bottom Right Side).

Maintenance FK3 is displayed
(even though no web cleaning unit is
installed)
Incorrect SSW setting has been applied.
Check SIM55-01, SW22-6 and set to 0.
Noise is generated after carrying out
Fusing Unit maintenance.
Check/Inspect the heater lamp has been installed into the
holder properly (or the lamp holder is not damaged).
USB memory device is not recognised
when trying to update firmware.
Check the USB version of the USB memory device as
USB3.1 devices may not be recognised.
Also ensure the USB device is formatted using FAT32.
