About this manual
This manual is intended for anyone who is responsible for integrating the Fiery Print
Controller AR-PE3 into a business environment that includes networked personal
computers. After setting up the Fiery Print Controller AR-PE3 and client
workstations, individual users can print to the Fiery Print Controller AR-PE3 as a
high-performance PostScript or PCL copier/printer.

The term “Fiery X3e” is used in this manual to refer to the Fiery Print
Controller AR-PE3. The term “copier/printer” is used to refer to the AR-C330. The
name “Aero” is used in illustrations to represent the Fiery X3e. The term “Windows” is
used to refer to Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000,
Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003, wherever appropriate. “Setup” is used to
refer to configuring the Fiery X3e for proper performance in your network
environment, including settings that affect all jobs. The administrator can perform
Setup from Fiery WebSetup, and Command WorkStation
