Cautions about Sunlight
About the Sunlight
Ensure the product is kept out away from direct sunlight.
Ensure the product is installed in shaded areas, especially when in a outdoor or semi-outdoor environment.
Commercial Monitors (IDP) must not be exposed to direct sunlight
The Effects of Direct Sunlight
If the product is being used under direct sunlight:
The effect of the products brightness
The display will look much darker than in normal use
The effect of ultraviolet rays
The LCD and / or the colour filter will deteriorate / metamorphosed
The Effect of Heat
Even if the environmental temperature is reasonably low, the temperature of an area under direct sunlight could be high.
The Commercial Monitor (IDP) will breakdown or uneven colours will occur
Solutions
The following solutions are ideas that you can use at product installation:
•
Setting a sun-shade above the Commercial Monitor (IDP)
•
Placing the product where there is no direct sunlight
•
Change the direction of the monitor to avoid direct sunlight
•
Using some object which can shut out the direct sunlight
