Emergency Disk
The purpose of the Emergency Disk, is to enable a Backup of a Venta POS to be taken when the POS will
not boot. This option creates a boot disk that will automatically backup the Venta POS onto the floppy.

After the POS has booted from the floppy and the backup has been made, the floppy should be put into the
PC that is used for Backups and the file VENTAPOS.EXE should be copied into a folder
C:\VENTA.BAK\{customer name} and executed. It should then be deleted.

The POS data is now available for restoring in the normal way after the POS has been repaired.
