1. Connect the USB CD-rom drive to the Terminal.
2. Load the driver that comes with the USB CD-rom drive.
3. Make sure that the operating system can see the USB CD-rom drive by running ‘Windows
Explorer’ from Start – All Programs – Accessories – Windows explorer. The USB CD-rom
drive will be shown as D:
4. Place the Venta CD into the USB CD-rom drive.
5. From the Venta CD run the file D:\Venta Application\Setup2003.exe
6. Select ‘Full install’ then choose next. Select ‘Finish’
Note: Please ensure that the correct computer name for the POS is set before continuing
with the ‘Venta Installation’.
There are 2 ways of loading the Venta Software from the CD supplied by Sharp (UK)
Í Via a shared CD-rom drive over the network from another PC.
Í Directly from a USB CD-rom drive attached to the USB port of the TERMINAL.
Í Directly from a USB CD-rom drive attached to the USB port of the TERMINAL.
Note: This documentation will follow the installation from the USB CD-rom.
