46. Key Top Text 
Q. What is the maximum number of lines of text on a key top? 

A. 4 x 10 Function key = 2 lines 

A.  4 x 10 (2x2 PLU) = 6 lines 
A.  4 x 10 Single PLU key = 2  
A. 3 x 10 Function key = 3 lines 
A.  3 x 10 (2x2 PLU) = 4 lines 

A. 3 x 10 Single PLU key = 3 
 

Q. Is it possible to have a different size receipt windows on individual screens 

A. No, this is only a global setting the size applies to all screens with a receipt 
window. 

 

48. Item Area 
Q. What does the “ITEM AREA” refer to under the SRV\Settings\Free Key 
Layout\Configuration? 

A. This is referring to the number of key lines (or area) that are taken up by the 
Menu’s. The menu’s appear in the area on the screen from left to right the keys 
will only take space of the number of lines set at screen configuration. They will 

not use the most left column and if set to zero they will take up the maximum 
area available. 

 

49. Authority Control 
Q. Can we have authority control over the function menus 

A. NO, but you can use Auto Menu’s to achieve the same thing. 

 

50. Remove Service Charge 
Q. Is it possible to remove a Service Charge once applied to the transaction. 

A. Yes, there is a Without Service key which will remove the added Service 

Charge. 

 
51 Recall Transaction. 

Q. My RECALL feature does not bring the transactions on the screen 

A. Please check 1. Media key is set for close transactions  
2. File Others\Close Trans is set, to a correct value example 1000/2000. 

 

52. Close Transaction 2 File 
Q. What is the Close Trans “2” file used for 

A. This feature is used by dealers in other European Countries, where they have 

a different rounding of payment to the UK. It is not required for the UK.
