In VPM – Configure - System Configuration, the tab
File Export
is renamed
File
Export/Import
. The sub-tab
Paths & Options
has a check
use FTP
for Import. The
path specifies the folder name on the FTP server.
For immediate import of files set the path as COMMSIN/NOW.
To import files at Start of day (deferred changes) set the path as COMMSIN/${DATE}
this will look at the dated folder
YYYYMMDD
on the FTP server.
To use both ‘immediate’ and ‘deferred’ imports set the path as follows
COMMSIN/NOW;COMMSIN/${DATE} as shown in above picture.
Only the Master transfers these files.
Commsout
In VPM – Configure - System Configuration, the tab
File Export

Paths & Options
has
a checkbox
use FTP
for Export (main).
When checked, the Export path corresponds to the destination folder on the FTP
server. If the path contains the character string $ {SF} it will be replaced by the
current source folder name in SharpPOS.
Therefore if COMMSOUT/${SF} is specified, files from \VPro\Commsout\YYYMMDD
will be transferred to COMMSOUT/YYYMMDD, and files from \VPro\Commsout will be
transferred to COMMSOUT/COMMSOUT.
These files are produced at EOD on the Master only.
