This report gives the results of comparing the VAT codes which have been set for each
product with the VAT codes set in the category, sub category and till department. The report
is divided into four sections showing the inconsistencies as follows:

1) 

 

Compares the product VAT code with the till department VAT code.

 

If they are different, it gives information on the two, and recommends that the product code is
changed to match the till department code.

 

2) 

 

Compares the product VAT code with the category and subcategory VAT code.

 

If they are different, it gives information on the three, and recommends that the product code
is changed to match the sub-category code.

3) 

 

Compares the subcategory VAT code with the till department VAT code.

 

If they are different, it gives information on the two and recommends that the sub-category
code is changed to match the till department code.

4) 

 

Compares the category VAT code with the till department VAT code.

 

If they are different, it gives the information on the two, and recommends that the category
code is changed to match the till department code.

If there are no inconsistencies in a section, the phrase “No inconsistencies found” is printed
for that section.

To print these results, either click on screen or printer in the ‘print to’ box.  An example of
this is displayed below:
