Examples
A sample STOCK.TXT for use in a seat booking system may be :-
Seats can be booked for Adults or Children but there are only a fixed number of seats that can
be allocated between Adults & Children.
PLU 1000 is an Adult Seat and PLU 1200 is a Child seat for Performance 1
and
PLU 1400 is an Adult Seat and PLU 1500 is a Child seat for Performance 2.

From the set-up above PLU’s between 1000 & 1300 are assigned to Stock Group 10 when
any PLU in this range is sold the stock in Group 10 will be reduced by 1. The same applies to
PLU’s 1400 to 1500 which are assigned to Stock Group 20. The attributes to stock Group 10
show a description of a “Thursday 6pm Seat” that has a Reversible Stock, a starting Stock of
120 and this stock will be reset on Day 5 (Thursday at End of Day). This will allow stock to
be managed for up to 7 days.
A sample STOCK.TXT for the 86 Function may be :-
Stock may be allocated to Individual items that could have limited stock (i.e Specials)
PLU 170 is House Special Steak and only 20 are available.

From the set-up above PLU 170 (House Special Steak) is set to Stock Group 1 when this
PLU is sold the stock will be reduced by 1. The attributes to Stock Group 1 are the
description is “Special 1” with Non-Reversible Stock. A starting stock of 20 will be applied
and this will be reset Manually. The same applies to PLU 180 which is set to Stock Group 2
but its starting stock is 32
