7-2. PAPER FEED
Rush conduction is made in the conduction phase (stopped by the initial
setting or the previous operation), and slow-up paper feed is made
before constant-speed paper feed drive.
7-3. HEAD CONTROL
The XE-A303V head control must satisfy the following conditions:

The conduction with TR (us) on the receipt side (R side), the conduc-
tion width TJ (us) on the journal side (J side).
•  Conduct the R side, and then conduct the J side. Do not conduct the
R side the J side simultaneously.
• The operation is controlled so that the conduction width takes prece-
dence. However, the conduction width on either side must not exceed
1720us. TR < 1720us, TJ < 1720us
•  For the first half dot, paper is generally fed in 960us.
•  When {(TR + 100) + (TJ + 100)} > 1920us, for the second dot, paper
is fed in {(TR + 100) + (TJ + 100) - 960} us. In this case, for the next
half dot, the acceleration table value close to the previous two half
dots is employed.
•  For both of the R side and the J side, the above motor feed interval is
employed.
• The rest time of 100us is provided between conduction of the R side
and conduction of the J side, and between conduction of the J side
and conduction of the R side.

To prevent against damage of the heating elements, perform the fol-
lowing sequence.
•  When turning on the power, turn on the circuit power voltage (VCC)
and then turn on the head terminal voltage (VH).
•  When turning off the power, turn off the head terminal voltage (VH)
and then turn off the circuit power voltage (VCC).

Do not conduct when paper is empty.
*
When printing or paper feeding, turn on the printer head voltage
(VHCOM signal), and after 20ms A/D conversion is made. Check to
confirm that the voltage is stabilized, and then start the operation. If
the voltage does not reach the specified level in 20ms, the voltage is
monitored 5 times according to the paper feed motor control interval
until it is stabilized.
Voltage monitoring is made max. 6 times according to the stepping
motor operation. If the voltage does not reach the specified level, it is
judged as a printer error.

Restriction on the logo print ratio: Average print ratio 35% or less
(same as M-T51) When the print ratio of the peak 1 dot line is 50%,
the average print ration of 10 dot lines including that line must be 35%
or less.
7-4. WINDING MOTOE CONTROL
The winding motor is linked with the receipt paper feed motor on the
journal side.
