Authorisation Process
For this model (UP-800), a 32 character code is
obtained by accessing the SRV mode, and selecting
Setting; SharpSmart; Licence code. This 32 character
number is relayed to PRS, whereupon a response code
(16 characters) is issued and keyed in.
Care should be taken to not cancel or leave the initial
code screen until after the response code has been
keyed, otherwise the process must be re-started. You
may switch off the unit while awaiting the response
code.
The licence code, once entered, should be saved (using
the “SAVE LIC.” option) otherwise it will be lost in any
subsequent MRS. If at any future time a new Flash
ROM is installed, a new licence will have to be issued.
