Error Messages and Troubleshooting

Q) Message ”Cannot open the serial port” appears.

  It appears when Windows(API) replies to the COM port usage request from

the MD Editor that COM port (RS-232C) is not available.

   
A)

 

Select the COM port with which the user has connected from the Serial Setup of MD
Editor.

   
A) There is possibility that the contention of COM port between MD Editor and the
other Windows application exists.
Please stop Windows applications other than MD Editor using COM port.
   
A) COM port might be in the stop state.
Confirm the COM port (RS-232C) setting of your PC through BIOS setting or Device
Manager of Windows and make it to be available.
The way of setting varies depending on PCs.

Q) Message “Check cable connecting” appears.

  It appears when MD Editor cannot recognize CAV-50C.

   
A) The cords are connected incorrectly. Confirm the cable setting from COM port (RS-
232C) to CAV-50C.

CAV-50C might be defective.
