5-5. G2 (SCREEN) AND WHITE BALANCE
ADJUSTMENT
1. G2 (SCREEN) ADJUSTMENT
1. Set the PICTURE and BRIGHTNESS to normal.
2. Put to VIDEO input mode without signals.

3. Connect R, G and B of the C board cathode to the
oscilloscope.
4. Adjust BRIGHTNESS to obtain the cathode voltage to the
value below.
5. Whilst watching the picture, adjust the screen VR [RV9002]
located on the flyback transformer to the point just before the
retrace lines disappear (to the point before cut-off).

2. SUB BRIGHTNESS AND WHITE BALANCE
ADJUSTMENTS
1. Input an entire white signal with burst.
2. Set to Service Mode.
3. Set the PICTURE Minimum BRIGHTNESS to 50%.
4. Adjust SUB-BRT (COLR 008 SBRT) to make IOIRE slightly

11. Adjust with 3 and 6 for the best white balance.
12. To write into memory, press [MUTING] then [ENTER].

7. Set the PICTURE and BRIGHTNESS to maximum.
8. Set SADJ 003 COL 60 to 00.
9. Select COLR 003 GDRV and 004 BDRV with 1 and 4.
10. Select COLR 006 GCUT and 007 BCUT with 1 and 4.
11. Adjust with 3 and 6 for the best white balance.
12. To write into memory, press [MUTING] then [ENTER].
