The Digital Electronic 
Programme Guide 
(EPG)
The Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) provides a quick and easy way to:
a) View a complete list of the programmes available,
b) Obtain a preview of the programmes currently being broadcast,
c) Create a list relating to a category of programmes (e.g. sports or movies).
d) Record programmes.
To select a category of programme
1.
The EPG is only available in digital mode. To check you are in digital
mode, press the 
 button on the remote control. An Info display appears
on screen providing brief details for both the current and next
programme. If the display does not appear, press the DIGITAL/
a
 button
on the remote control.
2.
Press the   button to display the EPG on screen. This menu consists of
an event information box, a preview screen, a two hour time bar (divided
into 30 minute intervals) and a five channel programme list covering the
two hour period.
3.
Press the 
V
v
B
 and 
b
 buttons to move around the list. As each
programme is highlighted, a brief description of the programme appears
in the event box at the top left of the menu. If you press the 
b
 button after
highlighting the last programme on the right, the programme schedule or
the next two hours is displayed. Press the RED or GREEN button to view
the previous or next five channels and their programmes (if available).
4.
If a programme you highlight is currently being broadcast, you will be
prompted to press the OK button to obtain a preview. If however, you
have previously allocated a Parental Control age limit in the Main Menu,
and the programme exceeds that limit, you will be asked to enter your
PIN before the preview is allowed.
5.
Press the OK button to confirm your choice and to exit the EPG.

With the EPG on screen, press the BLUE button to display the ‘Category’
pop-up menu.
2.
Press the 
V
 or 
v
 button to select the category of programme, then press
the OK button to confirm. The EPG list will now only contain programmes
relating to your chosen category.
3.
The type of programme category you choose is displayed at the top of
the list along with the date and time of day.
4.
Press the 
button to exit the EPG.

Viewing a traditional 
text service
Most analogue TV channels broadcast a text service. The index page (usually page
100) provides information on how to use the service. Please ensure you are
receiving a strong signal or some text errors may occur.
Switching on the text service.
How to use text features
1.
Press the 
 button on the remote control to check if you are in analogue
mode. If you are watching a digital programme an Info display appears
on screen providing brief details for the current and next programme. To
change to analogue mode, press the DIGITAL/
a
 button.
2.
Select the analogue channel which carries the text service you wish to
view. 
3.
Press the 
/
 button on the remote control to enter Picture and Text (P&T)
mode. The screen is divided in two with the text display on the left and
the TV channel in the right corner.
Press the 
/
 button a second time to enter full screen text mode.
Press the 
/
 button a third time to enter Mix mode.
4.
Press the Numbered buttons on the remote control to enter the three
digits of the page you wish to view. Alternatively, press the * or * buttons
to view the previous or next page. After a short time the page appears on
screen. 
5.
Enter more three digit numbers as required.
6.
Press the DIGITAL/
a
 button on the remote control at any time to exit text
mode.

Sub-page
Some pages contain sub-pages which
follow on automatically. This feature
allows you to directly access the
required sub-page.
Press the 
B
 or 
b
 button to select the
required sub-page. 
Hold
This feature allows you to hold the
current page until you are ready to
proceed.
Press the 
t
/
 button to hold the page
currently being displayed. Press again to
cancel.
Fastext
Fastext allows you to access pages
quickly and easily. When Fastext is
available, four coloured items appear at
the bottom of the screen. 
Press the corresponding coloured button
on the remote control to access the
required page. 
Page Catching
This feature allows you to jump quickly
from one page to another.
When viewing a page that contains
several page numbers (e.g. the index
page), press the OK button. Press the 
V
or 
v
 button to highlight the page number
required. Press the OK button to
confirm. Your chosen page appears on
the TV screen.
