Printing
When the head temperature is appropriate, the head UP/DOWN motor (M902) rotates, the head further descends,
touches the ink ribbon, and the “Print” mode is set.
The three colors are printed in order from the yellow ink ribbon, magenta ribbon, and then the cyan ribbon.
When printing of one color ends, the “paper pull in” mode is set to raise the head slightly, the print paper is pulled
back, and the printing of the next color starts.
The switching of the ink ribbon color is performed by rotating the ribbon motor (M903) and detecting the short black
line between the colors using the ribbon mark sensor 0.
W When paper jams during printing, and the paper can be seen from the front and back of the unit, pull out the
paper.
W If paper is jammed at the position detected by the jamming detection sensor (PH950), all indicators will start
blinking.
W If paper has jammed at a position which cannot be detected by the jamming detection sensor, the indicators will
not light up to alert.
(Reference Information) Causes of paper jamming
When the auto feeder is used, two sheets of print paper may be pulled in by static electricity. In this case, remove the
print paper from the auto feeder, and turn each paper to remove the static electricity between the paper.
When the print paper is inserted by hand, inserting the paper crookedly or inserting curved paper will cause paper
jamming.
Paper jamming will also occur if the mechanism such as the cassette guide T is not assembled properly.
End of printing
When printing ends, a long beep is sounded once, and the print paper is ejected. If continuous printing has been
executed from DSC-F1, the transfer of the next image data starts about 10 seconds later.
W The next print paper is not pulled in until the printed print paper has been removed in manual supply mode.
(Reference Information) Dirty print cartridge
Dirt and finger prints on the print cartridge may cause color change during printing. If printing is abnormal, rewind the
print cartridge, and check if the part causing color change is dirty, etc.
