3.  Match the cursor to “01.Rtc” by pressing the [v/V] button several 
times, then press the [ENTER] button. (It finishes automatically

1.  Insert the AC adaptor supplied to this unit into the outlet.
2.  Insert the DC plug of the supplied AC adaptor into the DC-IN 
terminal of this unit.
3.  Press the [MENU] button after starting up with normal mode.
4.  If the item of the [Setting] tab is not displayed, press the [b/B] 
button to display it.
5.  Match the cursor to [System information] by pressing the [v/V] 
button, then press the [ENTER] button.
6.  The number (eg. 1.01) in an “x.xx” form shown in the “Version” 
column on the display indicates the version.
Note:  Download the latest firmware from the homepage of ESI.
Execute writing the latest firmware when exchange the “MAIN PWB 
ASSY SERVICE”.
If the firmware is not written, normal operation is not done.
Execute the upgrade when the enhance is necessary.
1.  Download the latest firmware from the homepage of ESI.
2.  Decompress the zip file, then copy the version update file “DFX95Vxx.
VUP” (xx is a 2-digit number) onto the root directory of memory card.
Be sure not to put any other file than the version update file into 
the memory card.
3.  Insert the AC adaptor supplied to this unit into the outlet.
4.  Insert the DC plug of the supplied AC adaptor into the DC-IN 
terminal of this unit.
5.  After starting up with normal mode, turn off the power by pressing 
the [1] button for a few seconds.
6.  Press the [1] button while pressing the [VIEW MODE] button to 
turn on the power. (The user version upgrade mode starts.)
7.  Release the buttons if an initial screen of the user version upgrade 
mode is displayed in LCD.
1.  Insert the memory card into the slot on this unit and press the power 
button for a few seconds to turn off the power.
1.  Download Default_set.zip from the ESI homepage and decompress 
the zip file.
2.  When the “Default_set.zip” is decompressed, the folders for respec-
tive destinations will be contained, and then from the destination 
folder of the target model, copy the “sframe.tsp” file onto the root 
directory of memory card.
9.  Press the [ENTER] button when the following version screen is 
displayed in LCD. (The firmware rewriting starts.)
Pay attention to the power-off due to disconnecting the DC plug of 
the AC adaptor during firmware rewriting.

8.  Insert the memory card prepared in step 2 into the card slot on this 
unit, then press the [ENTER] button.

the firmware.
10.  After several tens of seconds, a guidance of “Completed. Restart 
the Digital Photo Frame.” will appear on the screen. Remove the 
memory card from this unit and disconnect the DC plug of the AC 
adaptor to turn off the power.
Re-execute “Confirmation of firmware” to make sure that the number 
displayed in the version column has been changed to the target one.

button to turn on the power.
3.  Release the buttons if the [TSP INITITAL] window is displayed 
in LCD.
4.  The TSP program will be executed automatically when the “sframe.
tsp” file is detected.
5.  If the LCD screen and “SONY LOGO” are black out, remove the 
memory card, and disconnect the DC plug of the AC adaptor from 
this unit to turn off the power.
6.  Insert the DC plug of the AC adaptor again to turn on the power. 
Confirm that the language is displayed according to the setting.
Initializing the setting can reset the time settings for clock setting or 
refresh mode.
Execute this mode when returning the set to the customer.
