DPF-V1000/X1000
MAIN  FEATURES
The Sony DPF-V1000/X1000 is a digital photo frame for easily
displaying images taken with a digital camera or other device with-
out using a computer.
Support for various memory cards*
Supports various memory cards and other devices, such as a
“Memory Stick”, CompactFlash card, SD memory card, xD-
Picture Card, and USB memory. Just insert a memory card
removed from a digital camera or other device, and you will
be able to view the images immediately.
Various display functions
You can enjoy various viewing modes, such as the slideshow
display, Clock and calendar display, Single view mode, and
Index image display.
Various modes
The displayed image can be switched automatically as though
you are turning the pages of an album yourself. You can select
from various modes, including just images, a clock, or calen-
dar view. You can also change playback settings such as the
playback order.
Adding images to internal memory
The images you add to the album are saved in internal memory.
Exporting images
You can export images in the album to your memory card.
CreativeEdit function
You can create original images using the “Scrapbook,” “Cal-
endar setting,” “Frame” or “Superimpose/Stamp” features.
Search function
You can search for images by event, folder, image direction,
and mark.
1. Check the area of your repair for unsoldered or poorly-sol-
dered connections.  Check the entire board surface for solder
splashes and bridges.
2. Check the interboard wiring to ensure that no wires are
“pinched” or contact high-wattage resistors.
3. Look for unauthorized replacement parts, particularly transis-
tors, that were installed during a previous repair.  Point them
out to the customer and recommend their replacement.
4. Look for parts which, through functioning, show obvious signs
of deterioration.  Point them out to the customer and recom-
mend their replacement.
5. Check the B+ voltage to see it is at the values specified.
6. Flexible Circuit Board Repairing
• Keep the temperature of the soldering iron around
350
˚C dur-
ing repairing.
• Do not touch the soldering iron on the same conductor of the
circuit board (within 3 times).
• Be careful not to apply force on the conductor when solder-
ing or unsoldering.
 : LEAD  FREE  MARK
Be careful to the following points to solder or unsolder.
• Set the soldering iron tip temperature to 350˚C approximately.
If cannot control temperature, solder/unsolder at high
temperature for a short time.
Caution:
The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel away if
the heated tip is applied for too long, so be careful!
Unleaded solder is more viscous (sticky, less prone
to flow) than ordinary solder so use caution not to
let solder bridges occur such as on IC pins, etc.
• Be sure to control soldering iron tips used for unleaded solder
and those for leaded solder so they are managed separately. Mix-
ing unleaded solder and leaded solder will cause detachment
phenomenon.
After correcting the original service problem, perform the following
safety checks before releasing the set to the customer.

rections of backlight, focus, red-eye, skin smoothing, and white
balance.
Alarm function

and using sound.
Automatic rotation of images
The photo frame automatically rotates images to their proper
orientation. Images are also automatically rotated when the
photo frame is set in either the portrait or landscape position.
Connecting to a high definition TV to display images
on a large screen
Using the photo frame’s HDMI output connector, you can en-
joy the images stored on a memory card, external device, or in
internal memory on a large screen, with accompanying music.
Easy transfer of images taken with a Bluetooth
compatible mobile phone or other device
You can transfer images to the photo frame’s internal memory
from a Bluetooth compatible device via a Bluetooth adaptor
(optional).
Automatic brightness sensor
The photo frame is associated with indoor brightness and ad-
justs the illumination automatically.
Displaying images on a wall
You can hang the photo frame on the wall.
* We do not guarantee proper operations for all types of devices.
Unleaded solder
This unit uses unleaded solder.
Boards requiring use of unleaded solder are printed with the lead-
free mark (LF) indicating the solder contains no lead.
(Caution: Some printed circuit boards may not come printed with
the lead free mark due to their particular size.)
SAFETY  CHECK-OUT
