• The sports pack SPK-HCE is water- and moisture- resistant, making it pos-
sible to use the Sony digital video camera recorder (referred to below as
“video camera”).
• Usable at the depth as low as 5 meters (17 feet) under water.
• For using your video camera with this sports pack, refer to the operating
instructions of the video camera.
• Before you start recording, make sure that the video camera is working
correctly and there is no water leakage.
• Sony does not accept liability for damage to the video camera, battery,
etc., when using the sports pack or for the cost of recording if water leak-
age occurs as a result of incorrect use.

1. Check the area of your repair for unsoldered or poorly-sol-
dered connections.  Check the entire board surface for solder
splashes and bridges.
2. Check the interboard wiring to ensure that no wires are
“pinched” or contact high-wattage resistors.
3. Look for unauthorized replacement parts, particularly transis-
tors, that were installed during a previous repair.  Point them
out to the customer and recommend their replacement.
4. Look for parts which, through functioning, show obvious signs
of deterioration.  Point them out to the customer and recom-
mend their replacement.
5. Check the B+ voltage to see it is at the values specified.
6. Flexible Circuit Board Repairing
• Keep the temperature of the soldering iron around 270˚C dur-
ing repairing.
• Do not touch the soldering iron on the same conductor of the
circuit board (within 3 times).
• Be careful not to apply force on the conductor when solder-
ing or unsoldering.

After correcting the original service problem, perform the following
safety checks before releasing the set to the customer.

Note 1: When putting grease the main O-ring (Ref. No. 3), always use the
grease of the blue tube of the accessory. When using the grease of
the yellow tube and the grease of the other Inc., it hurts the main
O-ring and it causes the water leakage.
Note 2: To prevent the wound under transportation, the protection seat is
pasted to the repair parts of mirror.
Please exchange mirror after peeling off this protection seat at the
repair.

ways use the grease of the blue tube of the accessory.
When using the grease of the yellow tube and the grease of the
other Inc., it hurts the lens window packing and it causes the water
leakage.
Note 2: In this model, parts are exchange in order to repair only the mounted
board.
Note 1: For the part of 54 and 71, Cut the NON WOVEN (T0.25) (3-076-
631-01) for specified size.
