5-1. PREPARATIONS
5-1-1. Adjustment Items When Replacing Lens Module (includes CMOS) and Main Board Assy
When replacing these parts, adjust the items indicated by “ z ” in the following table.

5-1-3. Identifying the Parts
Following are parts used in adjustment. (Fig. 5-1-2)

5-1-4. Connecting the Equipments
Connect the USB Extension cable to USB charging adaptor and perform the adjustment during charging the built-in battery. (Fig.5-1-3)
Charge lamp may turn off during adjustment, but it does not affect the charging.
Note: 
Select [MENU] - [Main Settings] - [LUN Settings (USB)] and confirm that [Multi] is selected. If [Single] is selected, the adjustment does not succeed.

5-2. MB/LCD FUNCTION CHECK
The MB (Main Board)/LCD function check order is as follows.
Handling of 9 Colors Chart
When performing adjustments using the 9 colors chart, insert the 
transparent window in the lower right position. (Fig. 5-2-1)

If NG appears for more than one check item, confirm the adjusting 
environment and recheck. 
1)  Check that the camera is on the adjustment mode.
 Note:
 
For the setting procedure of the adjustment mode, refer to “5-1-5. Setting the Adjustment Mode” (Page 5-3).
2)  Place the camera in front of the Small pattern box (PTB-1450). (Fig. 5-2-2)
3)  Touch the Left area, Right area, or the Top area, Bottom area on the LCD screen to choose an adjustment item.
 
Select “MB/LCD”, and touch the Center area on the LCD screen. Select “OK”, and touch the Center area of the LCD screen to start.
 Note:
 
If the check is disabled, refer to “5-1-6. Enabling the Adjustment” to enable the check. (Page 5-3)
4)  Confirm the indication on the screen.
 
If OK appears for all check items, press the   (Shutter) button to 
return to adjustment menu. (Fig. 5-2-3)
Function check items
Item

RTC
Compare Crystal RTC time and OS time. If Crystal RTC time and OS time are the same, conform to spec.
Video
REC/PLAY Video file and check MIC and SPK are working.
Memory
Check Internal memory size, conform to spec.
5-1-5. Setting the Adjustment Mode
1)  Download the adjustment tool “ADJ_Tool_TS55_Ver[][][].zip” from the TISS homepage.
 
Uncompress the “ADJ_Tool_TS55_Ver[][][].zip”, then confirm that it includes the following items.
 • 
EnableTest.txt
 
• USB Driver (Folder)
 
• Service Tool (Folder)
 
The above two folders “USB Driver” and “Service Tool” are used in “5-3-8. Set Language Destination” (Page 5-7).
2)  Save the uncompressed file “EnableTest.txt” in the root directory of the removable disk named “BLOGGIE”.
 
Note:
 
Saving it in the other directory may cause the malfunction of program.
 
If “EnableTest.txt” is still remained after the adjustment, delete it.
3)  Select [MENU] - [Main Settings] - [LUN Settings (USB)] and confirm that [Multi] is selected. If [Single] is selected, the adjustment does not 
succeed.
4)  With the camera turned off.
5) Keep pressing   (Shutter) button and ON/OFF (Power) button simultaneously for a while until the adjustment mode screen appears.
6)  After a few seconds, the adjustment mode screen will appear on the LCD screen. (Fig. 5-1-4)
7) Press the   (Shutter) button, the initial screen for the adjustment mode will appear. (Fig. 5-1-5)

5-1-6. Enabling the Adjustment
The item that has been adjusted may be disabled to be readjusted. 
If the readjustment is required, or when replacin
g Lens Module, it is necessary to enable the adjustment upon the following procedure.
1)  Touch the Left area, Right area, or the Top area, Bottom area on the LCD screen to choose an adjustment item.
2) Press the   (Shutter) button.
3)  Touch the Top area or Bottom area on the LCD screen to choose a Disable item.
4)  Touch the Left area or Right area on the LCD screen.
 (Disable 
“001” 
→ Disable “000”) (Fig. 5-1-6)
5) Press the   (Shutter) button or touch the Center area on the LCD screen.

5-3. CAMERA SECTION ADJUSTMENTS
5-3-1. Focus Adjustment
The Focus adjustment order is as follows.
Note: 
When using the Flange back adjustment jig, take care of the following points:
•  For the illumination, use a light source such as an incandescent lamp or inverter type fluorescent light free from flickering.
•  Do not make an adjustment in the environment where fluorescent lamp flickering occurs even if the illuminance can be ensured with the room illumination only.
•  Use an incandescent lamp or inverter type fluorescent light at a place free from the influence of room illumination.
1)  Install the Flange back adjustment jig so that the distance between 
it and the front of lens of camera is 10 mm or less.
Note:
Take care not to hit the lens of camera against the lens of Flange back 
adjustment jig.
2)  Make the height of Flange back adjustment jig and the camera equal.
3)  Check that the center of chart meets the center of shot image screen.
Illuminance = 1000 ± 200 lx

* For the setting procedure of the adjustment mode, refer to “5-1-5. Setting the Adjustment Mode” (Page 5-3).
Place the camera in front of the Flange back adjustment jig. (Fig. 5-3-1)
In case of the adjustment is finished abnormally,
the following indication appears on the screen.

In this case, confirm the adjusting environment
and readjust.
Touch the Left area, Right area, or the Top area, Bottom area on the LCD screen to choose an adjustment item.
Select “FOCUS (Infinity)”, and touch the Center area on the LCD screen.
Select “OK”, and touch the Center area of the LCD screen to start.
* If the adjustment is disabled, refer to “5-1-6. Enabling the Adjustment” to enable the adjustment. (Page 5-3)
In case of the adjustment is finished normally,
the adjustment completion indication appears
on the screen. (Fig. 5-3-2)
Press the
(Shutter) button to return to
adjustment menu.
Finished normally.
Finished abnormally.
Confirm the indication
on the screen.
5-3-2. EIS Adjustment
The EIS (Electrical Image Stabilizer) adjustment order is as follows.
Note:
Perform this adjustment after that performed in 5-3-1.
Confirm the indication
on the screen.
Finished abnormally.
Finished normally.
In case of the adjustment is finished abnormally,
the following indication appears on the screen.

In this case, confirm the adjusting environment
and readjust.
Touch the Left area, Right area, or the Top area, Bottom area on the LCD screen to choose an adjustment item.
Select “
EIS”, and touch the Center area on the LCD screen.
Select “OK”, and touch the Center area of the LCD screen to start.
*1 If the adjustment is disabled, refer to “5-1-6. Enabling the Adjustment” to enable the adjustment. (Page 5-3)
*2 When the adjustment starts, put the camera on a stable place such as a table to prevent it from wobbling.
*3 It takes approximately 30 seconds or more on this adjustment.
In case of the adjustment is finished normally,
the adjustment completion indication appears
on the screen. (Fig. 5-3-4)
Press the
(Shutter) button
to return to
adjustment menu.
Check that the camera is on the adjustment mode.
* For the setting procedure of the adjustment mode, refer to “5-1-5. Setting the Adjustment Mode” (Page 5-3).
Touch the Left area, Right area, or the Top area, Bottom area on the LCD screen to choose an adjustment item.
Select “EIS”, press the
(Shutter) button, then confirm that the value of “Gyro” is set as “001”.
The adjustment is finished normally.
