In this unit, about 10 seconds after power is supplied to the battery terminal using the regulated power supply (8.4V), the power is shut off so
that the unit cannot operate.
These following two methods are available to prevent this. Take note of which to use during repairs.

Use the AC power adaptor (AC-L10, AC-VQ800 etc.).

Connect the servicing remote commander RM-95 (J-6082-053-B) to the LANC jack, and set the commander switch to the “ADJ” side.

Refer to 2-2 to remove the accessory shoe and microphone cover.

Refer to 2-2 to remove the cabinet (R) assembly.

Refer to 2-3 to remove the lens-EVF block.

Refer to 2-9 to remove the rear cabinet and control switch block (PS-1770).

Open the VC-265 board.

Refer to 2-5 to remove the four screws with which the mechanism deck is fixed.

Open the cassette lid.

Remove the mechanism deck and VC-265 board.

Disconnect CN008 (27P, 0.3mm) of VC-265 board.

Supply +4.5V from the DC power supply to the loading motor
and unload with a pressing the cassette compartment.

CN3100 (for the DC-IN connector) and CN3105 (for the battery terminal board) of BJ-002/002A board are the same size, and the number of
the pins is the same.
So these connectors may be mistaken for each other. 

So ascertain the color of the connector when assembling these connectors.

CN3100 (for the DC IN connector) .......................... Blue
CN3105 (for the battery terminal board) .................. White
