2-5-2. CHECK BY HAND FEELING
1
Rotate the rotary ring clockwise to make the lens-barrel protruded a little until the burrier is opened.
2
Rotating the lens-barrel (larger diameter), reciprocate the lens-barrel 4 to 5 times over full stroke between TELE end and WIDE end to
check for smooth movements free from local heavy load such as a sticking.
3
Repeating the same operation, check the gears at the root of lens-barrel for damaged tooth, chipping, or contamination in overall
periphery and overall length.
4
If no abnormality is found, proceed to the next step.
* If any abnormality is found, it will not be corrected by the zoom motor unit replacement or repair, and thus go to the lens unit
replacement or repair.
2-5-3. INSTALL NEW ZOOM MOTOR
1
Solder new zoom motor unit to the flexible board, and engage and bond the sensor to the gear case.
As an adhesive, use the “Super X” or equivalents.
2
Affix the protection tape to the motor full periphery where the tape was peeled off in step 2.
* Affix the tape firmly as the tape, if peeled, will enter the gears.
* If the tape affixing capability is not strong and it cannot be reused, cut the “SHEET” part number: 2-580-751-01 to 20mm
× 7mm and
use it.
