Basic Operations
The back of the unit
* VOLUME + Ȱ, à ȫ on the unit and 5 ȿ on the remote have a 
tactile dot.
Before using the unit
To turn on/off the power
Press POWER ȩ.
To adjust the volume
Press VOLUME +, – Ȱ.
To listen through headphones
Connect the headphones to the ­ (headphones) jack ȸ.
To select the sound characteristic
Press SOUND Ȳ repeatedly to select the audio emphasis 
you want. 
Choose
To get
Powerful, clean sounds, emphasizing low and 
high range audio 
Light, bright sounds emphasizing high and 
middle range audio
Percussive sounds, emphasizing bass audio
The presence of vocals, stressing middle 
range audio
The whole dynamic range for music such as 
classical music
To reinforce the bass sound
Press MEGA BASS ȱ to display “MAGA BASS” in the 
display. 
To return to normal sound, press MEGA BASS ȱ to 
disappear from the display.

XM READY® SUBSCRIPTIONS
Once you have installed the XM Mini-Tuner Dock, inserted the XM 
Mini-Tuner, connected the XM Dock to your XM Ready® home audio 
system, and installed the antenna, you are ready to subscribe and 
begin receiving XM programming. There are three places to find your 
eight character XM Radio ID: on the XM Mini-Tuner, on the XM 
Mini-Tuner package, and on XM Channel 0. Record the Radio ID in 
the following eight squares for reference.
Note: The XM Radio ID does not use the letters “I”, “O”, “S” or 
“F”. Activate your XM Satellite Radio service in the U.S. online at 
http://activate.xmradio.com or call 1-800-XM-RADIO (1-800-967-
2346). You will need a major credit card. XM will send a signal from 
the satellites to activate the full channel lineup. Activation normally 
takes 10 to 15 minutes, but during peak busy periods you may need to 
keep your XM Ready home audio system on for up to an hour. When 
you can access the full channel lineup on your XM Ready home audio 
system you are done.

To Subscribe to SIRIUS Satellite Radio
Purchase and connect a SiriusConnect Home Tuner to your Sirius 
Ready home audio system.  You are then ready to activate and 
subscribe to Sirius by either calling 1.888.539.SIRIUS (7474) or log on 
to sirius.com.  It is that easy.
Playing a CD

Note
You cannot locate a specific track if “SHUF” or “PGM” is lit in the 
display. Press

Listening to FM or AM radio
To listen to FM or AM

select FM or AM.

Hold down TUNE/CHANNEL + or – ȯ until the 
frequency digits begin to change in the display.
The unit automatically scans the radio frequencies and 
stops when it finds a clear station.
If you cannot tune in a station, press TUNE/
CHANNEL + or – ȯ repeatedly to change the 
frequency step by step.
When an FM stereo broadcast is received, “ST” 
appears.
Tip
If the FM broadcast is noisy, press MODE Ȯ until “MONO” appears 
in the display and the radio will play in monaural.
Listening to satellite radio
You can operate and listen to XM or SIRIUS satellite 
radio by connecting an optional antenna or tuner. Before 
using the unit, connect the XM Mini-Tuner and Home 
Dock or the SiriusConnect Home tuner to the unit.
Connect the XM Mini-Tuner and Home Dock to the XM 
jack Ƚ on the unit, or the SIRIUS Connect Home tuner 
to the SIRIUS connector Ȼ on the unit. You can also 
connect both tuner units.

Switch to XM or SIRIUS ȼ when the unit is turned 
off.

Press POWER ȩ to turn on the unit.

Press SATELLITE-RADIO ȹ to select “XM” or “SIRIUS”.

Press MODE Ȯ repeatedly until “CAT” disappears to 
select All Channel mode.

Press TUNE/CHANNEL + or – ȯ repeatedly to select 
the channel.
On the remote

To select a channel in Category mode

Do steps 1 to 3 of “To listen to XM or SIRIUS” to 
select “XM” or “SIRIUS”.

Press MODE Ȯ repeatedly until “CAT” appears.

Press PRESET/CATEGORY + or – ȯ (CATEGORY + 
or – ȯ on the remote) repeatedly to select the 
category.

Press TUNE/CHANNEL + or – ȯ repeatedly to select 
the channel.
To select a channel using the number buttons
Press the number buttons on the remote. 
For example, to enter 123, press 1,2, 3 ȿ, and then 
ENTER ȯ.

If you select a channel using the number buttons ȿ in Category 
mode, the tuning mode changes to All Channel mode automatically.
ˎ
You cannot switch from XM to SIRIUS (or vice versa) ȼ while the 
unit is turned on. If you want to switch from XM to SIRIUS (or vice 
versa) ȼ, be sure to turn the unit off first.  
ˎ
You cannot select a SIRIUS channel using TUNE/CHANNEL + or 
– ȯ if the Parental Lock is set for the channel.
To check your XM Radio ID or SIRIUS ID number
Press the number button 0 ȿ, then press ENTER ȯ to 
select channel 0.
