(4) Setting up the Speakers
(i) Subwoofer ... User’s Manual

If the subwoofer setting is set to “NO”, the low band convert function is activated, and the LFE
signal (for the subwoofer) isDownmixed to other channels through a digital circuit. The analog
subwoofer input signal can be downmixed to other channels even through an analog circuit.

If the setting for the center speaker is set to NO or MIX, the center speaker output is mixed with
the front speaker output through the analog down-mix circuit.

In the case of configuration with one surround back speaker, connect the speaker to the L-channel.
Audio is not output from the R-channel.

For you to enjoy a better sound, the following restrictions are applicable at the time of installation.

The center speaker must be installed nearer than the front speakers. Also, it must not be further
than 1.5 m away from the front speakers (e.g., when the distance to the front speakers is 3 m, the
distance to the center speaker must be between 1.5 to 3 m).
・
The surround/surround back speakers must be nearer than the front speakers. Also, they must not
be further than 4.5 m away from the front speakers (e.g., when the distance to the front speakers
is 6 m, the distance to the surround/surround back speakers must be between 1.5 to 6 m).
