SECTION  1
SERVICING  NOTES
NOTE THE SPEAKER UNITS REPLACING
Refer to “2. DISASSEMBLY” (page 4 or subsequent) for the re-
placement procedure of each loudspeaker unit.
1. Woofer 
(SP4)
 
When exchanging Woofer (13 cm), in order to balance sound 
quality on right side and left side, it recommends exchanging 
right side and left side simultaneously.
 
(Example: When exchanging right side Woofer, recommend 
also exchanging left side Woofer simultaneously (a total of two 
pieces, right side and left side, are exchanged simultaneously)) 
 
Please be sure to confi rm a customer’s intention in advance.
 
When a customer’s consent is obtained, please exchange si-
multaneously Woofer of right side and left side (a total of two 
pieces).
 
When a customer’s consent is not obtained, please exchange 
only broken Woofer (one piece).

2.  Main tweeter (SP3)

  When exchanging Main tweeter (2.5 cm), in order to balance 
sound quality on right side and left side, Main tweeter and As-
sist tweeter recommends exchanging right side and left side 
simultaneously.
 
(Example: When exchanging right side Main tweeter (one 
piece), recommends also exchanging simultaneously right 
side Assist tweeter (two pieces, upper side and lower side), 
left side Main tweeter (one piece) and left side Assist tweeter 
(two pieces, upper side and lower side) (a total of six pieces, 
upper side, lower side, right side and left side, are exchanged 
simultaneously))
 
Please be sure to confi rm a customer’s intention in advance.
 
When a customer’s consent is obtained, please exchange si-
multaneously Main tweeter and Assist tweeter of upper side, 
lower side, right side and left side (a total of six pieces).
 
When a customer’s consent is not obtained, please exchange

  Main tweeter (2.5 cm) is exchanged in the form attached to 
FACE PLATE.
 
When exchanging tweeter, please exchange for SPEAKER 
(2.5 cm) ASSY including FACE PLATE.

  When exchanging Assist tweeter (1.9 cm), in order to guar-
antee performance, please be sure to exchange upper side and 
lower side simultaneously.
 
Moreover, in order to balance sound quality on right side and 
left side, Assist tweeter and Main tweeter recommends ex-
changing right side and left side simultaneously.
 
(Example: When exchanging right side Assist tweeter (two 
piece, upper side and lower side), recommends also exchang-
ing simultaneously right side Main tweeter (one piece), left 
side Assist tweeter (two pieces, upper side and lower side) and 
left side Main tweeter (one piece) (a total of six pieces, upper 
side, lower side, right side and left side, are exchanged simul-
taneously))

ABOUT HANDLING OF A LOUDSPEAKER UNIT 
(WOOFER)
Do not put the corn side of a loudspeaker unit (woofer) on a fl oor 
etc. 
When placing a corn side, put on a fl oor etc. after making into a 
stand the parts supplied to a new loudspeaker unit. 
(Refer to the following fi g.)
ABOUT REPAIRING THE BOARD
The mounted parts of this unit that have each board cannot ex-
change with single.
When each boards are defective, exchange the complete mounted 
board.

Note 2: When installing the tweeter assy, after each screw 
 
holes of the tweeter assy and packing (A) are aligned, 
 
attach it to the speaker cabinet.
Note 3: Check not having overflowed a speaker cabinet 
 
upper surface.
Note 4: Check that there is neither a riding raising to the
 
speaker cabinet concave portion nor a position 
 
gap of screw holes.
Note 5: Check that packing (A) is not turned over.
Note 10: Be careful not to attach a crack to a speaker 
 
cabinet using the terminal of a wire.
Note 11:  Check that the connection mistake or insertion 
 
of a wire are not imperfect.
Note 12: Insert the terminal straightly.
Note 13: After terminal insertion, should check acting 
 
as lock of the terminal completely.

Note 9: When disassembling loudspeakers (1.9 cm) (assist tweeter) 
 
(SP1, SP2), be sure to perform the polar check of "+" and 
 
"í", to make "+" into the upper left side and to attach it, as 
 
shown in the following figure.

overlapped or not having run

not having shifted, not having floated or not being stuck.

2-8.  RETORQUING OF SCREWS
Retorquing all the screws of loudspeaker (13 cm) (woofer) (SP4) part, tweeter assy part and terminal board assy (TB1) part.
Tightening torque 
• 
Loudspeaker (13 cm) (woofer) (SP4) part (4 places): 2.0 ± 0.1 N•m
• 
Tweeter assy part (6 places): 1.5 ± 0.1 N•m
• 
Terminal board assy (TB1) part (4 places): 1.5 ± 0.1 N•m
Note 1: The screw must not fl oat or the screw head must not be damaged.
Note 2: If you will fl oat even retorque the screws, set up again not to exceed the numerical value of the following torque.
• 
Loudspeaker (13 cm) (woofer) (SP4) part (4 places): 3.5 ± 0.1 N•m
• 
Tweeter assy part (6 places): 2.0 ± 0.1 N•m
