SERVICING  NOTES
ABOUT  THE  REPAIRING  OF  BOARD
When boards installed by this unit are defective, replace the com-
plete mounted board. Individual electrical parts that the mount is 
done cannot be exchanged.

We do not guarantee operation for all computers even if they meet the following system

Initializing
Delete data such as Google account information and downloaded applications, and reset 
your “WALKMAN” to factory default.
Tap the 
 (Menu) button with the Home screen displayed, then tap [
 Settings] - [
 Privacy] - [Factory data reset] - [Reset device].

To delete music and photos transferred to your “WALKMAN,” tap [Erase USB 
storage] and put a check in the checkbox.
Tap [Erase everything].

Your “WALKMAN” restarts automatically after being initialized.
Note
If you put a check in the checkbox by tapping [Erase USB storage], the following data 
will be erased: Song and photo data transferred to your “WALKMAN”; Preinstalled 
content; Help guide for viewing on your “WALKMAN” screen; Setup.exe file stored on 
“WALKMAN” memory, for installation on your computer. Be careful because the data 
will not be offered again.

Resetting
You can reset your “WALKMAN” if operations become unstable.
Press the RESET button with the end of a pin or other narrow object.

Note
To reset your “WALKMAN” safely, make sure that a song or a video is not being 
played before pressing the RESET button.

Data and settings in use may not be saved when you press the RESET button.

REPLACING
When the MAIN board, RF board or battery assy (BAT1) are re-
placed, Refer to “3. SERVICE MODE” (page 15 to 26).
NOTE  THE  RF  BOARD  REPLACING
When the RF board is replaced, the MAC address has been changed.
Print the page 5, and pass it to the customer with the repaired unit 
when you return the customer the repaired unit.
NOTE  THE  MAIN  BOARD  REPLACING
When the MAIN board is replaced, the DTCP-IP ID has been changed.
Print the page 7, and pass it to the customer with the repaired unit 
when you return the customer the repaired unit.
