NOTE ON THE IC201 ON THE MAIN BOARD
REPLACEMENT
Replacement of IC201 on the Main board requires a spacial tool.

Press and hold the  /HOME button until the HOME menu appears.

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select 
(Settings), and then press 

the àê button to confirm.

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select “Advanced Settings>,” and then 
press the àê button to confirm.
ɡ

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select “Date-Time>,” and then press 
the àê button to confirm.
ɢ

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select “Date Disp Type>,” and then 
press the àê button to confirm.
The screen used to set the display format appears.
ɣ

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select the format, and then press the 
àê button to confirm.
You can select the format from the following 3 types.

Date yy/mm/dd: The date appears as year/month/day. (Default setting)
ˎ
Date dd/mm/yy: The date appears as day/month/year.
ˎ
Date mm/dd/yy: The date appears as month/day/year.

To return to the previous menu
Press the  /HOME button.

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select 
(Settings), and then press

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select “Advanced Settings>,” and then 
press the àê button to confirm.

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select “Date-Time>,” and then press 
the àê button to confirm.

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select “Time Disp Type>,” and then 
press the àê button to confirm.
The screen used to set the display format appears.

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select the setting, and then press the 
àê button to confirm.

Time 24h: Displays a 24 hour display. (Default setting)
ˎ
Time 12h: Displays a 12 hour display.
To return to the previous menu
Press the  /HOME button.
Formatting Memory 
(Format)
You can format the built-in flash memory of the player.
If the memory is formatted, all music data and registered cover art (jacket 
picture) will be erased. Be sure to verify the data stored in memory prior to 
formatting and export any necessary data to SonicStage or the hard disk of 
your computer.

ˎ This function is only available in pause mode.
ˎ When the remaining battery is low, you cannot format the player. Charge the battery 
before formatting.

Press and hold the  /HOME button in pause mode until the HOME 
menu appears.

(Settings), and then press 

the àê button to confirm.

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select “Advanced Settings>,” and then 
press the àê button to confirm.

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select “Initialize>,” and then press the 
àê button to confirm.
ɢ

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select “Format>,” and then press the 
àê button to confirm.
ɣ

Press the Ã/Ñ button to select “OK,” and then press the àê
button to confirm.
“FORMATTING...” appears and formatting starts.
When formatting is completed, “COMPLETE” appears.

To cancel the operation
Select “Cancel” in step 
ɣ
and press the àê button to confirm.

To return to the previous menu
Press the  /HOME button.
Note
ˎ Do not format the built-in flash memory of the player using Windows Explorer.
