2-2. Power control circuit when the unit is not connected to PC
Fig.2-1 shows Power Control Circuit of the unit.
1. Driving voltage (VDD_UNREG voltage)
In this unit, there are 2 kinds of power source shown in Table.2-1.

= During the battery driving =
The battery voltage is input to pin-7 [BAT1] and pin-8 [BAT2] of Power Control IC601. The battery voltage is supplied from pin-5 [SYS1] and pin-6 [SYS2] to the unit as
VDD_UNREG voltage if the system load check inside IC601 recognizes no problem..
= During the VBUS voltage driving =
VBUS voltage which is supplied from PC is input to pin-3 [USB_IN1] and pin-4 [USB_IN2] of Power Control IC601. Then, IC601 starts up and it outputs VBUS voltage from
pin-5 [SYS1] and pin-6 [SYS2] to the unit as VDD_UNREG voltage after performing the current-limit.
The created VDD_UNREG voltage is supplied to System Controller IC101. Then IC101 starts up and it outputs “H” signal from pin-29 [RST2OUT] to pin-30 [EN] of Power
Control IC601. By this “H” signal, each power circuit inside IC601 starts up.
2. VDD_CORE voltage (When the unit is not connected to PC: +1.2[V] / When the unit is connected to PC: +1.5[V])
VDD_UNREG voltage is input to pin-27 [IN_CORE] of Power Control IC601. Then the DC-DC Converter-1 inside IC601 starts up and it outputs the switching waveform from
pin-28 [LX_CORE]. VDD_CORE voltage is generated by the operation of the DC-DC converter circuit consists of IC601, L601, C615 and C613.
One Point:
The voltage value of VDD_CORE is different corresponding to the operation mode shown in Table.2-2. When System Controller IC101 recognizes that the VBUS voltage is
supplied to the unit, it outputs “L” signal from pin-230 [GPIOA20]. By this “L” signal, Q604 turns “OFF”, and the feedback voltage to pin-26 [OUT_CORE] of IC601 is changed.

3. VDD_IO voltage (+2.8V)
VDD_UNREG voltage is input to pin-25 [IN_IO] of Power Control IC601. Then the DC-DC Converter-2 inside IC601 starts up and it outputs the switching waveform from
pin-24 [LX_IO]. VDD_IO voltage is generated by the operation of the DC-DC converter circuit consists of IC601, L602, C614 and C616.
