ABOUT  THE  BOARDS  REPLACING
When the boards installed in this unit are defective, exchange the 
complete mounted board.
However the microphone jack (J501), headphone jack (J601) 
[POWER ON/OFF•HOLD] switch (S701) and [DPC (SPEED)/
KEY CTRL] switch (S702) on the MAIN board are exchangeable. 
Refer to “4. EXPLODED VIEWS” (page 24).

2.  While pressing the [VOL –] and [TRACK MARK] keys, slide 
the [DPC (SPEED)/KEY CTRL] switch to ON or OFF (Either 
ON or OFF is OK).

and [TRACK MARK] keys at the same time.
5.  The test mode menu is displayed, and enter the test mode. Re-
lease the [VOL –] and [TRACK MARK] keys.

ABOUT  THE  DESTINATION  SETTING  WHEN  REPLAC-
ING  THE  MAIN  BOARD
When the MAIN board of this unit is replaced, perform processing 
according to the following procedure.
Precaution
The contents which are not opened to customers are included 
in the following procedure. After you are cautious of handling of 
information, execute work under the suffi cient administration.
1.  About the preparing of tools
Download the tools used by this work from the homepage of TISS. 
When the tools cannot be confi rmed by TISS, confi rm to the ser-
vice headquarters.
2. Setting 
method
Note: The destination setting is impossible when battery voltage is not 
enough.
 
  Do perform after charging a battery.
Procedure:
1.  Connect this unit to the PC.

2.  On PC, unzip the model setting fi le to get folder on PC.
3.  On PC, open the unzipped folder, and select the folder corre-
sponding to the model name and destination of this unit.
4.  On PC, copy the “LOCAL.UPG” fi le included in the folder 
selected at step 4 to root folder of this unit.
5.  Remove this unit from the PC.

6.  This unit is rebooted automatically.
7.  The destination setting is completed.
3. Confi rmation and initialize method
Procedure:
1.  Slide the [POWER ON/OFF•HOLD] switch in the direction of 
“POWER” until the window display appears.
