Subject: Change of the POWER AMP board due to chang-
es of the IC800 on the POWER AMP board (HCD-
GTZ4i: US model only)
GTZ4i: US model only)
The IC800 on the POWER AMP board has been changed in the midway
of production. The POWER AMP board and IC401 on the MAIN board
have been changed due to it at the same time.
New/former discrimination, note of replacing the IC800 (Former type) on
the POWER AMP board, printed wiring board, schematic diagram and
electrical parts list of the POWER AMP board of New type are described
in this service manual SUPPLEMENT-1.
Refer to page 59 on original service manual for the IC401 on the MAIN
board.

The IC800 (Former type) is limited to the stock quantity of service parts.
When the IC800 of Former type cannot be obtained, exchange the complete POWER AMP board.
However, the Former type/New type exist in the complete POWER AMP board due to changes of the IC800.
