ASSEMBLING AND CONNECTING THE SYSTEM
Before connecting, attach the stands to the control unit and the speakers.
Tip
  We recommend that you spread a cloth on the floor to avoid damaging the floor when assembling.
Assembling the control unit
Attach the stand to the control unit.
Use the parts illustrated below.
Tip
  You can install the control unit on a wall using an optional kit (not supplied).

Hook the studs of the control unit on the keyslots of the control unit stand, then secure 
the control unit with the screw.

SYSTEM CONTROL cord
Hook the SYSTEM CONTROL 
cord in the clamp on the control 
unit stand.

Attach the control unit stand cover to the control unit stand.
Snap the control unit stand cover onto the control unit stand.

Draw the SYSTEM CONTROL cord 
through the opening of the control unit 
stand cover.
Assembling the speakers
Attach the stands and connect the speaker cords to the center speaker, front speakers, and surround 
speakers.
About connecting speaker cord
The connector and color tube of the speaker cords are the same color as the label of the speaker to be 
connected.
To avoid short-circuiting the speakers
Short-circuiting of the speakers may damage the system. To prevent this, be sure to follow these 
precautions when connecting the speakers. Make sure the bare wire of each speaker cord does not touch 
another speaker terminal or the bare wire of another speaker cord, such as shown below.
Note
  Be sure to match the speaker cord to the appropriate terminal on the components: 3 to 3, and # to #. If the cords 
are reversed, the sound will lack bass and may be distorted.
To assemble the center speaker
Use the parts illustrated below.
Tip
  You can install the center speaker on a wall using an optional kit (not supplied).

You can set the angle by adjusting the position of the screws.

To assemble the front and surround speakers
Attach the speaker stands to the front and surround speakers. The procedure of assembling for the 
surround speaker (L) (the left surround speaker) is slightly different from the others. (The surround 
speaker (L) has the IR receiver.) Any difference in procedure is clearly indicated in the text, for 
example, “For the surround speaker (L).”
Use the parts illustrated below.

The front speakers and surround speaker (R) are identical. To discriminate between the speakers, see the label on 
the rear of each speaker.

The speaker that has the IR receiver is the surround speaker (L) (left surround speaker), the speaker 
that is connected to the surround speaker (L) is the surround speaker (R) (right surround speaker), 
and others are the front speakers.

Insert the post into the base, and secure the base with screws. (for all speakers)
* Do not remove the screw that is attached to the post. The screw is to prevent the speaker from slipping.

Tip
  Tilt the post so that the cords are drawn smoothly.
For the next procedure of the surround speaker (L), skip to step 7.

Remove the post cover, slide the speaker adaptor onto the post, adjust the height of the

  Keep the post cover handy, so you can replace it later.
