SECTION  1
SERVICING  NOTES
UNLEADED  SOLDER
Boards requiring use of unleaded solder are printed with the lead-
free mark (LF) indicating the solder contains no lead.
(Caution:  Some printed circuit boards may not come printed with
the lead free mark due to their particular size)
 : LEAD  FREE  MARK
Unleaded solder has the following characteristics.
•  Unleaded solder melts at a temperature about 40 °C higher
than ordinary solder.

Ordinary soldering irons can be used but the iron tip has to be
applied to the solder joint for a slightly longer time.

Soldering irons using a temperature regulator should be set to
about 350 °C.
Caution: The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel away if
the heated tip is applied for too long, so be careful!
• Strong
viscosity

Unleaded solder is more viscous (sticky, less prone to fl ow)
than ordinary solder so use caution not to let solder bridges
occur such as on IC pins, etc.
•  Usable with ordinary solder

It is best to use only unleaded solder but unleaded solder may
also be added to ordinary solder.
BEGIN  IT  BEFORE  THE  REPAIR (SA-WSZ7)
When the SA-WSZ7 is checked, connect to HCD-Z7 (for Blu-ray
disc/DVD receiver of BDV-Z7). Be sure in advance the HCD-Z7
is prepared.
NOTE  OF  WHEN  OPERATION  OF  THE  SET  IS  CON-
FIRMED (SA-WSZ7)
This set displays the protector when the fan stops for ten seconds
or more, and operation is stopped.
Do not remove, and stop the fan when you confi rm the operation.
NOTE  THE  IC1165  ON  THE  AMP-POWER  BOARD
REPLACING (SA-WSZ7)
IC1165 on the AMP-POWER board cannot exchange with single.
When this part is damaged, exchange the entire mounted board.
CAPACITOR  ELECTRICAL  DISCHARGE  PROCESSING
(SA-WSZ7)
When checking the board, for the electric shock prevention, con-
nect the resistors to both ends of respective capacitor (C1009) or
between
1 – 2 pins of CN1111 and CN1521 to discharge the
capacitors (C1009, C1105, C1106, C1115, C1426, C1446, C1466).
