Audio
Audio Description
Available only when you set “Audio Description” in the 
“Type” menu above.
Item
Speaker
When set to “On”, audio for the visually 
impaired is output from the TV speakers.
Headphone
When set to “On”, audio for the visually 
impaired is output from the headphone 
terminal.
Volume
Adjust the volume of the speakers or 
headphones.
Setting audio input
Option
PC Audio Select
When using the EXT 4 terminal or HDMI 2 terminal, you 
must select which terminal uses the AUDIO (R/L) jack for 
analogue audio input.
Item
HDMI 2
When connecting devices (including a 
PC) with DVI/HDMI cable to the HDMI 
2 terminal and inputting analogue audio 
signals from the AUDIO (R/L) jack*.
EXT 4 (RGB)
When connecting a PC to the EXT 4 
terminal, and inputting analogue audio 
signals from the AUDIO (R/L) jack.
HDMI signals have priority when the signal includes audio.
NOTE
You must set this to “EXT 4 (RGB)” when connecting devices 
(including a PC) with an HDMI-certified cable to the HDMI 2 
terminal. If “HDMI 2” is set, there will be no sound output.
Automatic volume adjustment
Option
Auto Volume
Different sound sources sometimes do not have the 
same volume level, such as a programme and its 
commercial breaks. The Automatic Volume Control (Auto 
Volume) reduces this problem by equalizing levels.

Outputting audio only

Audio Only
When listening to music from a music programme, you 
can set the TV off and enjoy audio only.

Both screen images and audio are

Audio is output without a screen image.
AQUOS LINK Settings
Option
AQUOS LINK Control
Set to “On” to enable interactive operation of compatible 
HDMI devices (DVD player/recorders, Blu-ray player/
recorders).
What you can do with AQUOS 
LINK
One Touch Play
When the TV is in standby mode, it will automatically turn on 
and play back the image from the HDMI source.
Controlling AQUOS LINK devices 
using remote control unit
AQUOS LINK allows you to operate the HDMI-connected 
device with a single remote control unit.
Buttons for AQUOS LINK operation
Buttons
Description
PLAY I
Starts playback.
FWD J
Scans forward.
REV G
Scans backward.
STOP H
Stops playback.
REC E
Records the programme being watched via 
the recorder’s tuner.
REC STOP H
Stops recording.
B
Turns the HDMI-connected device on/off.
NOTE
Open the remote control unit’s flip cover when using the 
butttons above.
