SYMPTOM
One of the following symptoms:
Will not power on flashing Red LED, lamp error counter at 5 works ok when reset.

Will not power on flashing Red LED, not able to enter any service mode.
CAUSE
The fault is caused by a short circuit to ground inside the LCD panel where one off the
lamp cathode wires have been trapped and damaged, see pictures below.
Depending  how  badly  the  wire  is  damaged  will  determine  if  the  fault  is  intermittent
(reoccurring) or permanent.
ACTION
Redress the trapped cathode wire.
After  the  wire  has  been  redressed  and  insulated  you  need  to  reset  the  lamp  error
counter  via  the  display  mode  adjustment  procedure  and  then  enter  the  main  service
mode  and  perform  the  Factory  Init.  (just  resetting  the  lamp  error  may  not  restore
normal operation).
