CHAPTER 4. 
TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE
[1] TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE
ATTENTION
In this model, the service support of the power unit is not supporting individual parts but exchanging the unit.
Please look at the above-mentioned trouble shoot as reference.
No power supplied (Front LED does not turn on). Power switched on but no power supplied. (Front LED does not turn Red 
→ Green)
YES
Are the power cord connector correctly connected to the body?
NO
Reconnect the power cord correctly and switch on the power 
again.
YES
Does FS1 function?
NO
Replace FS1 and switch on the power again. If FS1still blow out, 
check NR1, NR2, BD1, D9, Q1.
YES
Does UR12V function?
NO
Is there a part which breaks down on the UR12V line or a circuit 
which is short?
YES
YES
NO
Check a power circuit of UR12V.
(D3A, PC1, IC20, Q21)
Check again after remove parts which have trouble or a short cir-
cuit.
Dose the connection of the internal wire harnesses, B to B con-
nector function? (CN2-SC1204)
NO
Check again after reconnect the internal wire harnesses, B to B 
connector, etc.
YES
Is the AC-CTL signal (H) input to pin 9 of CN2 connector?
NO
Is the signal of AC-CTL: H output from 35 pins of IC2002 (SUB-
MICON) in the MAIN UNIT?
YES
NO
Check a power circuit of IC2002 and periferal circuit.
Please exchange IC2002 when still not repaired.
Is there a voltage of INV12V (UR12V) after switching on the 
power?
NO
Check a power circuit of INV12V. (C7501: + side, IC7501-20pin)
YES
Is there a voltage of BU3.3V after switching on the power?
NO
Check a power circuit of BU3.3V and short circuit.
(IC2004, P2003-1pin, BU3.3V-line)
NO
Check again after remove parts which have trouble or a short 
circuit.

No power supplied (Front LED does not turn on). Power switched on but no power supplied. (Front LED does not turn Red 
→ Green)

Remove SC1204 connector of MAIN unit. When you input 3.3V 
to pin (9) of SC1204 connector, check whether UR12V are out-
putted to pin (13) to (15).
NO
Exchange the power supply units.
YES
Check whether there is any loose connection of a connector 
(CN2 and SC1204).
YES
Check the item of the check list of POW (2).
(Check whether BU3.3V is outputted.)
Power supply (troubleshooting): A power supply does not come to each main circuit/IC. (1)
                              
The power supply of TUNER (TU501) does not operate.
                              
Checklist
1) The check of the front page POW (1) is completed. 
• • • UR12V is output to SC1204 (MAIN-PCB).
(If UR12V is not output, confirm the POW (1) again and repair.)
2) Check that BU3.3V is supplied to IC2002 (SUB-MICON), and the AC-CTL signal H is output from 35pin within a MAIN board.
(If BU3.3V is not supplied, check IC2004 (BU3.3V-REG) and a periferal circuit.)
3) Refer to attached sheet Power-Block diagram.
                              
Is B5V supplied to pin (3) of TUNER (TU501)?
YES
Check the soldering of TUNER (TU501), confirm I2C-LINE or 
exchange it.
NO
Is 5.6V supplied to pin (1) of IC504 (B5V-REG)?
YES
Check the soldering of IC504 or exchange it.
NO

Check whether the POWER-CTL signal is input to pin 
(7) of IC505.
YES
Check the soldering of IC504 or exchange it.
Is UR12V supplied to pin (2) of IC505 (5.6V-REG)?
YES
Check the soldering of IC505 or exchange it.
NO
Check between pin (13) of SC1204 to pin (2) of IC505 (5.6V-
REG). (CONNECTOR SC1202/P501)

Power supply (troubleshooting): A power supply does not come to each main circuit/IC. (2)
                                            
The power supply of a VIDEO system/IC801 (DVP) does not 
operate.
                                            
Checklist:
1) The check of the front page POW (1) is completed. 
• • • UR12V is output to SC1204 (MAIN-PCB).
(If UR12V is not output, confirm the POW (1) again and repair.)
2) Check that BU3.3V is supplied to IC2002 (SUB-MICON), and the AC-CTL signal H is output from 35pin within a MAIN board.
(If BU3.3V is not supplied, check IC2004 (BU3.3V-REG) and a periferal circuit.)
3) Refer to attached sheet Power-Block diagram.
                                            
Is B1.5V supplied to pin (D12) of IC801 (DVP)?
NO
Check whether POWER-CTL signal is input to pin (4) of IC705 
(REG). Or check whether B1.5V is output from pin (6) of IC705.
YES

Is B12V supplied to pin (5) of IC705 (REG)?
YES
Is B3.3V supplied to pin (R19) (D5) of IC801 (DVP)?
Check soldering of IC801 or check whether B3.3V is 
output from pin (3) of IC703 (REG). 
YES

Is B3.3V supplied to pin (1) (19) of IC9201 (RSDS-TR)?
NO
Check soldering of IC9201 or check 
whether B3.3V is output from pin (3) of 
IC703 (REG).
                            
NO
Check the soldering of IC703 or exchange it. 
NO
Is B12V supplied to pin (2) of IC703 (REG)?
YES
Is the POWER-CTL signal input to pin (3) of Q701 (SW)?
NO
Is B12V output from pin (6) of Q701 (SW)?

Check between pin (3) of Q701 (SW) to pin (29) of IC2002 (SUB-
MICON).
Is UR12V input into pin (4) of Q701 (SW)?
                            
NO
Check the soldering of Q701 (SW) or exchange it.

Power supply (troubleshooting): A power supply does not come to each main circuit/IC. (3)
                                            
The power supply of a AUDIO system does not operate.
                                            
Checklist:
1) The check of the front page POW (1) is completed. 
• • • UR12V is output to SC1204 (MAIN-PCB).
(If UR12V is not output, confirm the POW (1) again and repair.)
2) Check that BU3.3V is supplied to IC2002 (SUB-MICON), and the AC-CTL signal H is output from 35pin within a MAIN board.
(If BU3.3V is not supplied, check IC2004 (BU3.3V-REG) and a periferal circuit.)
3) Refer to attached sheet Power-Block diagram.
                                            
Is UR12V supplied to pin (47) (37) (13) (23) of IC303 (P-AMP)?
NO
Check the soldering of IC303 or exchange it.

Is B3.3V supplied to pin (13) (26) of IC302 (A-CODEC)?

Check the soldering of IC302 or Is B3.3V output from pin (3) of 
IC703 (REG)?

Is UR12V supplied to pin (7) of IC703 (REG)?
Check the soldering of IC703 (REG) or exchange it.
Is B9V supplied to pin (14) of IC301 (A-SW)?

Is B9V supplied to pin (38) of IC501 (AV-SW)?

Is B3.3V output from pin (5) of IC702 (REG)?

Check the soldering of IC702 (REG) or exchange it.
